Introduction to SystemDesigner Devices

The topics in this section describe the symbols and their associated models used in the SystemDesigner simulation module. SystemDesigner is a time-sampled simulation tool used to simulate digital control techniques. For an overview of SystemDesigner , see SystemDesigner Introduction.

Except in special cases, the SystemDesigner devices are not compatible with regular bus-connected digital components because the SystemDesigner Buses use a different data encoding technique that allows the same schematic design to be used for both transient and AC analyses.

Each of the SystemDesigner devices is clocked from a globally defined clock generator. For more information on the clocks, see SystemDesigner Clocks.

The links below provide documentation for each SystemDesigner component and include circuit examples that can be downloaded for each device type. For an example using multiple SystemDesigner components, download this digital PWM example.
