SIMetrix and SIMetrix/SIMPLIS can now be programmed using the Python script language. The schematic editor, waveform viewer and data handling systems can all be accessed using dedicated object-oriented classes and methods. Both SIMetrix and SIMPLIS simulators may be launched using the same functions with measurement data readily accessible.

A new built-in Python text editor is included which includes syntax highlighting, syntax checking, method completion and popup documentation.
